Abstract

A multivariate loss function constructed by inverting the multivariate normal density function is used to construct the control chart for random samples taken from the multivariate normal process. The expected loss of this multivariate loss function is used to design an acceptance sampling plan for products with multiple quality characteristics. The proposed sampling plan satisfies both the producer's and consumer's risks associated with their respective acceptable and rejectable expected losses per sample.
